The news continues about the debate of a few nights ago and I figure being the loud voice that I am with the readership I command, it was time to weigh in.

I agree with Borack Obama. A candidate for President must be ready NOW for the job. I do not want a Presidential candidate to stand behind that famous line of when I become president we will start to investigate how to approach any subject no less reversing our current administration’s debacle in foreign affairs.

Therefore, Hillary, do your homework and get those meetings ready. Mr. Obama please use some of your campaign financing raised from the people of these United States, to go to all of those rogue nations and get those meetings started. Come home and report to us that you have a plan if not an agreement to begin discussions to resolve differences.

If we wait the differences grow and the positions become hardened and resolution becomes more impossible. There may not be any resolutions, but no one should be reticent to talk because when it is over there might be some public relations problem with a little leader meeting the big US leader, and the US leader couldn’t get the little leader to do what the US wanted. I don’t think it is about getting any country to do what the US wants. It is about opening the lines of discussion, find commanality (we all breathe the same air) and then see how we can work together to accomplish mutual goals.

So members of the Republican party, take note, your debate is still two months ahead, but start the process now of distinguishing yourselves. Start acting presidential. Don’t just continue to shout out the platitudes about our strong nation. Learn from this past week’s debate and me. After all I am the voice of the people.
