And who got him off? King George of course.
You all think this is some political piece, but today I speak of sex. Society certainly got a screwing today, if justice is the measure. The appearance of impropriety means nothing to this Administration. But I am so kind…Appearance of impropriety means we don’t have to show impropriety, just the mere possibility that it could be deemed improper is beyond ethical limits and if acted upon could result in disciplinary measures. But while that precept applies to attorneys and every other professional, our President and his friends just don’t have any concern about any such appearances.
Imagine if a Judge could rule in a matter involving someone he knew well both socially and who worked in the same office. A person or two might say it is inappropriate. But who are we to suggest that our President might do something inappropriate. After all he is the self proclaimed “Decider”. I must take a moment to assure our government officials that these opinions are not a direct assault upon my caring for the men and women at war in
Iraq. I only seek to direct comments upon the action of President in this limited circumstance, his commutation of Scooter Libby’s sentence. Despite George Washington’s declining a coronation, because of his negative feelings about George III, we now have George II accepting his ascendancy. Thank you Press and Congress for allowing it.
I love to watch. And this is a great time to watch. It’s all so simple to see. And there are no ramifications because the Congress and Press are so deferential. Life is wonderful.
