It’s disgusting,

There ain’t no discussing

The rich are getting richer

While the rest are getting bitcher

 

I don’t understand why there ain’t no noise

Why ain’t there any complaining from the girls or the boys

You be Americans, home of the Brave

What you be sitting there using what you saved.

 

It makes no sense anymore being a working slob

They’re gonna get us for years to come til we become a mob

Medical payments going up every year

But you don’t even realize it, you think you’re fine my dear?

 

Well I say you ain’t, and I’ll tell you why

What was your premium in 1999?

But health insurance reform is gone lying in Congress dead

Cause the monied peeps got what they wanted No change instead.

 

Wall street mavens know how to make cash

The rest of us just watch sittin on our ass.

Democrats got control but couldn’t win with 60

So Republicans figured out they could talk about revolutionary tea.

 

Here we are in 2010 and we’re still at war

The problem is that the only news we hear is about recalls on a car.

So what are we doing to protect ourselves?

Certainly it must be clear Obama’s promises went to hell.

 

Stand up! Speak out! Do it now.

I know the excuse we don’t know how.

But it don’t matter if we do it right or we do it wrong

We gotta just start shouting or singing a new song.

 

We are the People that’s who we are

The documents were written about us We b the star.

So you gonna come along and tell the top to stop

Or are you gonna sit there quietly because they own the cops.

 

Walks on the streets have a history of changes

Peaceful, nonviolent we need a birth in the manger

Get up tell your woes it just ain’t right

That working people can’t find a bite.

 

 

It’s time to crash the system.  Don’t spend a cent.

If we all stop spending it’ll make a dent.

Pay for food pay your rent even clothe the kids

Just stop spending for anything else put your pockets under lids.

 

Get your money out from the guys who invest in stocks and bonds

They are just using your money for the cons

Invest in yourselves or find a friend and help yourself out

If we all do it together we’ll finally have some clout.

 

We have a choice, make life better for yourself or those rich guys

Raise your voice, Take away their money and they’ll shed their disguise

When the rich guys start fighting cause there profits are too thin

Believe in ourselves and that’s when we’ll win.
